The aim of the course is to provide participants with appropriate knowledge, skills, and attitude required for evaluation of any Management System within an organization as provided for in International audit requirements followed by a hands-on practical component. The course is adapted for use in any management systems
The course takes a practical approach to training on auditing techniques by employing manual and electronic tools of auditing, which combined, will give the participants broad knowledge and skill to plan for an audit, execute an audit, and do follow up on audit findings by a thorough a breakdown of audit stages: the audit scope, objectives, follow-up and closing; and practice using techniques that deliver objective, measurable results. These are essential skills in ensuring auditors conduct consistent audits and drive continuous improvement within an organization.
This is a classroom delivered course that integrates formal lectures, individual and group simulated exercises and practical cases by use of a generic audit management software to give the participants adequate knowledge, skills and attitude required to manage an audit cycle. The participants are therefore required to have computers for effective delivery.
After the training, the participants will be awarded with a certificate of successful upon attaining the minimum requirements in the evaluation criteria.
English shall be the language of instruction. Candidates from non-English speaking countries will be required to pass the English proficiency exams.
It is recommended that participants have an understanding of a management system but it is not mandatory.
The objectives of this course are:
- Introduce the participants to the overview of auditing
- Enable the participants, using the auditing tools provided (electronic and manual tools) to prepare an audit plan following the guidelines provided in ISO 19011
- Enable the participants, using provided electronic and manual tools, and a reference scenario, to prepare an audit report after conducting an audit following the guidelines provided in ISO 19011
- Enable the participants to develop a corrective action plan following the guidelines provided in ISO 19011
- Give participants insights on how to do audit follow up and perform audit closure
- Persons directly involved in a Management System implementation for ANSPs, Aerodrome Operators, AMOs, ATOs AOCs or in any other sector; (MS e.g ISM/QM/SM/RM coordinators/officers/managers, function MS champions)
- Personnel responsible for safety oversight
- Persons who perform safety related duties; ATS, AIM, CNS, FOO, AIR, FLOPS, Aerodromes staff
- Any other senior officer whose role is critical to successful Management System implementation
