The Acting Director of the East African School of Aviation, Mr. Eliud Jela, alongside Deputy Director, Aviation Training Mr. Julius Nzyoka and Deputy Director, Aviation Security Ms. Beatrice Muthoga, officially presided over the opening of the ICAO GSI-PEL Course at EASA.
The programme has brought together participants from Uganda, Cape Verde, Madagascar and the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, reflecting strong international collaboration in strengthening Personnel Licensing (PEL) oversight and alignment with ICAO standards.
The course aims to enhance regulatory competencies under ICAOβs Government Safety Inspector (GSI) framework, supporting effective safety oversight systems and harmonized aviation standards across States.
