Joseph Nkadayo MBS, Chairman KCAA and Registrar Academic Affairs EASA, Dr. Serah Waitiki, during the 8th EASA Graduation Ceremony, where the ICAO awards were officially unveiled.

 

 EASA is an ICAO Platinum Training Centre of Excellence (TCE) – One of 10 organizations with this recognition by ICAO worldwide. This is the highest accolade for Aviation Training Organizations by ICAO.                                               

“I wish to congratulate the East African School of Aviation (EASA) for successfully completing the new requirements of recognition as a Platinum Training Centre of Excellence TRAINAIR PLUS Programme (TPP) Member. Your achievement will play an instrumental role to lead by example for the rest of the TPP Network willing to Engage in more TPP training activities. I appreciate your strong commitment and participation in the dissemination of ICAO training through the many course deliveries hosted last year, thereby actively supporting ICAO and its Member States in the efficient implementation of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). I strongly encourage the East African school of Aviation to maintain or increase, whenever possible, its TPP membership recognition level and to continue implementing ICAO training activities to support ICAO Member States with their training needs” Wrote Mr. Diego Martinez, ICAO Chief, Global Aviation Training.

This accolade is awarded to organizations that play a leading role in a region or globally, focusing on: 

  • Regulatory training
  • Actively supporting ICAO in its capacity-building efforts
  • Effectively assisting ICAO Member States in the implementation of the ICAO SARPs via the extensive delivery of ICAO training.
